Our first night here on LCH 8, N begged me to pray and ask God to let him die because he didn't want to feel this pain anymore. He was tired of fighting for his life. After our "first" night with Amber before bed N said, "Mommy, Amber made me laugh. She also made me not want to give up and die because if I can laugh, I can still beat this!" She treated N like royalty and gave my son the drive to live by being a compassionate, Extraordinary Nurse.
