I, along with many co-workers, think Amber-Shaye is "simply amazing." She is a new nurse to the PICU, however, since her start here she has made many friends and has brightened many days for our patients and families. Amber-Shaye transitioned from adults with grace. To work with her means you know you have someone with whom you can rely on and count on to be there for you at any point in your shift. Amber-Shaye exudes the language of caring with every smile she smiles and each interaction she has with others. She always cares for her patients as if they are her own family. She pays very close attention to detail and is especially organized and thorough with all of her care and hand off to the next oncoming shift. It has been a true honor to get to know Amber-Shaye and work beside her. She considers everyone in PICU a friend and when you are near her, you feel like you have a friend in her. She is an awe-inspiring nurse as she goes above and beyond for all of her patients and their families with the care she provides. She always has time for helping other nurses, even if her own assignment is the busiest one. It is for these reasons we congratulate, Amber-Shaye on her DAISY Award. She deserves it so much!
