Amy is the Director of the Emergency Room at UofL Health Shelbyville Hospital. She is respected amongst her peers and highly regarded by her staff. Amy does a great job consistently but 2020 was an exceptional challenge and she never quit smiling. Being over the ER, she manages the Emergency Preparedness for our hospital and is our representative for the city's emergency team. As the pandemic hit and changes began to happen rapidly, Amy kept herself informed and adapted practices accordingly. She communicated this clearly to her staff, but I cannot begin to explain the number of calls Amy received from the community and other facilities.
Amy is the Chair of a Community Council associated with the local health department. She led this via Zoom, worked with our local EMS, first responders, etc. to ensure everyone had the latest, most up-to-date information. Shelbyville Hospital is blessed to have Amy as our ER Director.
