My mom was in the critical care unit. Amy came in each day with a smile on her face. She took the time to listen to my mom, even though they had a full floor. She was kind even if my mom was demanding. She always made sure my mom ordered something to eat even though she always said she didn't want anything. (My mom would always end up eating it). She would always follow up when we had questions and never made us feel like we were a bother. You can tell that Amy cares about people and loves what she does. I just learned about the DAISY Award from googling "what is something nice to do for nurses."
