Andrea is an exceptional leader who leads tirelessly. Over the past year, Andrea has been thumped with several curve balls, and she never complains. She handles every situation that comes her way with such grace.
Andrea is always going over and beyond for her clinic staff, making sure that she meets every need we may have. She is one of the most outstanding, compassionate, leaders that any employee could ask for in a manager. She deserves all the recognition.

Andrea is an exceptional leader who leads tirelessly. Over the past year, Andrea has been thumped with several curve balls, and she never complains. She handles every situation that comes her way with such grace. She took a new staff member in a new role and helped her get acclimated to her new role by providing guidance and support. Andrea was not in any way involved in this nurse’s leadership, but she made sure that nurse had what was needed to do her job. Andrea took that nurse under her wing and helped her navigate her way through the new role by demonstrating exceptional mentorship. Andrea amplifies all the core values of our organization and is a leader I am inspired to be, and I am grateful to call her my leader. Andrea deserves the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

Since I've met Nurse Allen she has been the best so far in leadership as my supervisor. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her staff to be great. In a call of need, she is always a phone call away. You don't catch many supervisors to step in when her team is in need, that's one thing of many that stands out with Andrea, which I feel is very important to know she will not let her team sink when she is able to stand with us. I love her positivity, encouragement, and strength to be the best for us, and the list could go on. What better Nurse leader to have in your corner no matter what the situation may be I know that I can count on her as my leader.

Andrea will keep a steady watch (in EPIC) on the number of patients waiting in her waiting room at the Palm Center. If she observes that patients have been waiting for an unusual amount of time, she will roll up her sleeves and help room patients. She jumps in to finish patients at lunchtime so all her staff can eat between 12 and 1 p.m. I have observed this on numerous occasions. She is transparent and down-to-earth in her feedback and interactions. She juggles an off-site clinic while also managing a float pool that primarily serves the main campus. She makes herself available by being present at both Palm Center and the main campus. Her clinic at the Palm Center serves an underprivileged area; this reality poses many challenges to the patient population, as well as the clinic itself. Andrea always manages to lead her patients and staff through each and every obstacle.

She is a fair, understanding and an attentive manager. Those quality characteristics are hard to find in a leader.
