I was in-patient from Tuesday to Friday, and Andrea was never my nurse. I had been assigned to another nurse, but my interactions with her were extraordinary. Once I attempted to walk and my pain levels were getting out of control. She found me in the hallway and noted my increasing pain level and the chattering of my teeth. She assessed the situation and took corrective action. Next thing I knew she had me wrapped up in a warm blanket and was assisting me back to my room. As I began to feel better, I began to feel more confident in my walking. I asked my nurse if my husband could take me to the atrium just to sit in it for a moment. Andrea said Yes, but then wished me luck finding a chair. She then offered to find a chair for me. Andrea showed her compassion towards me, and I was not even her patient. This was really amazing and boosted my morale for the evening and gave me hope for healing.
