Andrea took care of my husband for several of the days he was in care after a work accident. She was on time with his medications and always checked on the both of us to see if we needed anything on a frequent basis. Showed compassion and care to all of his needs. She would make jokes to get him laughing and give encouraging words when he was frustrated.

If we had a question she didn't know the answer to, she would get us the answer. There were days she stayed after her shift to stop in one last time to see if he needed anything and would communicate his cares and updates to the next nurse coming onto the night shift. She took the time to talk with our family and answer any questions they had when they came to visit.

My husband wanted to get out of his room for a bit, so she helped him walk with his walker as far as he could, then sat him in the reclining chair with wheels and took him for a walk to the green space. My husband and she were laughing while on this walk. Mind you, she had already put in her 12-hour shift by this time. She did all of this while answering calls nonstop to assist her fellow coworkers. She is an exceptional nurse, and Aspirus should be very proud to have her on the team. She is a nurse that we would definitely like to recommend for showing exceptional compassion, teamwork, knowledge of her job, and going above and beyond for her patients.

Andrea, thank you so very much for taking such amazing care of my husband. We will never forget you and all that you did! Keep being amazing!
