Andrea was my Labor & Delivery nurse. After the birth, there was a lot of heavy bleeding and clotting, and if it weren’t for her amazing care and concern, the night could have ended terribly. We were going to try a Jada device to suck out the blood. However, Andrea noticed there was something very wrong with the way blood was pouring out even with the device in, and she was the one who spoke out and spoke up that I needed to go to the OR as soon as possible. If it wasn’t for her persistence and ability to trust her gut, the night could have ended with my daughter growing up without a mom. Never have I met a more loving, caring, and supportive medical professional. This RN deserves the world and more, but a DAISY Award at the very least. She truly made what would be a traumatizing experience a calm one. Because of her, I’m alive today with a beautiful baby girl in my arms, and I will always love and cherish her for that.
