Andrew was super friendly and could always put you at ease about your situation.
Many good nurses are at the Powers Health Rehabilitation Center, but Andrew Hermanek was exceptional in his craft. First of all, he stands out because, during my time in the Powers Health system, I had only experienced two other male nurses. Andrew was outstanding regardless of gender, education, or age. He was on the night shift for about three nights when I was at the rehab center, but Andrew was super friendly and could always put you at ease about your situation. He would always ask how your day was and if there was anything he could do to make the evening better aside from his expected duties. We seemed to have made a connection and would have at least one chat an evening for about 5 or 10 minutes concerning various general topics and conversations about life. Andrew is a young man who seems to be self-made, highly driven, motivated, and full of diverse interests, which makes him an interesting person to be around. In regards to his job, it was always done with the highest professional care and efficiency. He was always easygoing but meticulous about doing things correctly and on time. He would always communicate with you what he was doing and why. Andrew would always be concerned about your comfort and would frequently ask and remind you that if anything was needed, he would instruct you not to hesitate to call and ask for help or assistance or request something of need. I enjoyed being in the care of Andrew, and he, without a doubt, exemplified the mission, vision, and values of Powers Health. He also worked well with his colleagues and coordinated with them to ensure patient care was provided without delay. I feel Andrew is an exemplary employee of the Community Hospital System and should be recognized for his outstanding attitude and professional service.
