With 34 years of dedication and service to both our individuals and staff. It is with gratitude that I nominate Angela Harris-Myers as the next DAISY Award recipient. Ms. Harris-Myers is an exceptional employee. Her department is tasked with ensuring that all DBHDD, AU, and Agency staff receive their required immunizations and/or screenings necessary for employment here at East Central Regional Hospital. In addition to handling personnel matters, her office also schedules and coordinates medical appointments and transport for the individuals we serve. The occupational health clinic serves as a nucleus, coordinating day-to-day clinical and administrative operations for the hospital. The occupational health team is the liaison between East Central Hospital, external providers, and acute care hospitals. Ms. Harris-Myers leads by example; she is assertive, knowledgeable, dependable, efficient, a leader, a hard worker, and an advocate for everyone at East Central. It is no surprise to many of us, on how she can efficiently and effectively operate her department with a small team of 5 hardworking staff. She operates with a "common-sense" approach and is meticulous in the way in which she manages, and approaches matters. We are fortunate to continue to have Ms. Harris-Myers as part of our ECRH team; she is truly passionate and committed to her career. We can hope that she gives us a few more years of her time, for there is none other like her. She truly is a DAISY Nurse and deserving of this recognition and award.
