Angela took care of my mother for the last 2 nights of her stay. She was gentle, kind, and patient while attending to my mom's needs. She went above and beyond her duties by recognizing that the family member often needs care and assistance, too while going through this difficult time. She helped me make the best choice when ordering a bed alarm when I was overwhelmed with all the choices. She suggested a "hotel bell" for my mother with dementia instead of a "call button" type device (for when we get home) that might be harder for my mom to figure out.
Angela shared in my excitement when I found a yellow hotel bell with a smiley face, just like the cute hospital safety socks! Angela offered to get me something from the cafe late one night since I had been busy on the phone with my brother and husband attempting to fill out FMLA paperwork. When I finally made it to bed after midnight, Angela brought me a warm blanket. I felt very loved and cared for, which was very appreciated after a week-long stay with my mom after her stroke. Angela was truly an angel to my mom and me.
