Angie Andersen is not only an asset to our department but also to Bay Area Hospital as a whole. She cultivates a culture of professionalism and consistency. She leads by example and has paved the way for this department. She provided the training that was needed for case management and was the first to earn her Accredited Case Management (ACM) certification. This has given us the training, tools, and inspiration to develop and grow professionally, supporting us to use our licensure to capacity. She has inspired us all to do better. Consistently she focuses on our individual strengths, recognizing and advocating for our roles within this organization. Rather than try to change all of us to be the same, she appreciates each one of us for the gifts and talent that we bring to this team. She is very passionate about personal and professional growth and encourages us each individually. Ethical behavior is not only modeled and supported by her, but it is exemplified in her daily interactions with patients, community partners, hospital staff, and leadership.
The role of Case Management has evolved under the incredible leadership of Angie, we have worked hard to meet the needs of our community members and their complex needs. Patient care is our utmost priority and having a manager that holds high their expectations, yet also comes alongside us to provide the tools, education, and encouragement we need to meet those expectations each and every day makes all the difference.
