Written by the patient’s mother:
Angie was the nurse in OB when my daughter had her c-section. She seemed great after her c-section and Angie was very helpful and very attentive and checked her regularly. Around 12:15 pm, she checked my daughter to find her in an emergency situation bleeding to death.
Angie was immediately focused, reassuring her and went with her to the OR. My daughter said that if it hadn’t been for Angie, she would have panicked. Instead she tried to focus on her. Angie constantly kept us aware that my daughter was OK.
After the emergency surgery, Dr. R took me into a room to discuss what had happened. He told me that if it hadn’t been for those 2 nurses finding her bleeding when they did, she would not be with us.
That is how important a nurse is!!!
