LT Crane's clinical skills and her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. She consistently meets all of the following criteria: Kind and sincere care, she is a team player, and is passionate about nursing.
Anna is a very caring nurse that fully believes in the power of patient and family centered care. Here is a survey/letter received from one of the patients wanting to express appreciation for the kindness and compassion LT Crane exhibited,"to tell you what excellent care I received when I was on 3 West for 3 days. I cannot say enough about the care given by a very special nurse LT Crane. I wrote down her name just so I could tell people in charge how very caring she was. In spite of my nervous nature, and probably causing some inconvenience, LT Crane continued to be patient and caring. I also appreciate the special effort she made to explain my procedure in words I could understand. When I became emotional she was a wonderful listener, and knew just how to make me more comfortable. Would you please convey my thanks to this very dedicated lady."
Anna is prepared at shift change for oncoming nurses and goes above and beyond to ensure oncoming nurses are set-up for success. Furthermore it is not uncommon to see LT Crane stay late to ask ab0ut a coworker's family. Additionally, her compassion spreads outside the hospital setting as she volunteer as mentor to abused children in San Antonio community. Anna always has a smile for everyone and is there to cheer you up when you are having a bad day. She is not only compassionate to patients and families, but to staff members as well. She's been a blessing to me and this department, and I'm sure the whole hospital.
