Annabelle is quiet and soft-spoken but her hard work and excellence in nursing are well recognized! Her easy-going personality helps balance out the tensions of the Emergency Department.
Annabelle is an exceptional nurse who continuously serves her patients by providing compassion, concern, and empathy. She recognizes the impact a small simple action has on the mood of her patients. Once she was observed singing "Happy Birthday" to a patient bringing a smile to the faces of both the patient and family members. She is never too busy to individualize the care she provides, which can be challenging in our very busy emergency department.
Patients who are sick or suffering often are not in a position of strength to speak up for themselves and rely heavily on their nurse for this kind of support. Annabelle serves as these patients' advocate by addressing concerns without judgment and anticipating future needs. Her relationship and communication with her patients place them at ease while providing them the confidence that they will be cared for.
