There is a trauma patient on NJS that has had a very long and complicated stay after an attempt to end his life. He has been on and off M1 Holds and At-Risks the entire time he has been here. Mostly he is incredibly solemn; however, lately, he has become more volatile in his behaviors.
Anne has really been incredible in working to get him the best care possible. She is committed to him and his care beyond what I would hope any provider be committed. She has spent hours speaking with him about his care and future, she has been on the receiving end of so many unfortunate interactions with him, she has consulted and coordinated experts and specialist many times in hopes of guiding him towards the best treatment, and she is consistently trying to think outside the box to continue to serve him and his well-being.
I have watched Anne struggle personally throughout her time caring for him, and I am so impressed by her diligence and dedication. Even when she is frustrated, worried, angry, and feeling hopeless, she continues to work for him.
