When I arrived on the Neuro Floor, I was really "out of it" the first night. I had fallen at home and hit the back of my head hard on the back of my desk. With a possible TIA and a nasty concussion, I was in quite a bit of pain and couldn't think straight, and I was also very scared. Anne checked on me often and made sure I received my medications on time. Anne had such a calm manner about her and was so helpful and attentive to my comfort and needs, such as moving a bedside toilet next to my bed since I was a fall risk. She took her time explaining my treatment protocol and the goals that were set for each day for my recovery. She was never in a hurry while in my room and kindly told me to take my time when I had to get up and move around. She kept me informed regarding any other tests that the doctor may want and when the doctor would be in to see me. She was very quick to answer my buzzer and that was much appreciated!
Anne was very observant as well and was hesitant to see me go home rather than to a rehab center. Anne convinced me in a very nice way that I needed either a rehab center or St. Vincent Home Health Service to come to my home for physical therapy due to continuing right-sided weakness. I agreed to that and so far, it has worked out very well. I am following the doctor's orders as well as the physical therapy plan to strengthen my right side and the rest of my body. Anne needs to be recognized for her exemplary level of knowledge, caring attitude, and patient care. Anne Clark is the best!!!!
