Recently there was a patient that came in through the ED who experienced a horrific tragedy. Annemarie suspected the family was waiting somewhere in the hospital and wanted to do everything possible to offer them comfort. She went out of her way to find the family in the building and navigate trying to console them even though there was a language barrier and a pre-existing complicated family dynamic. She brought them to the designated room on 9W to make them more comfortable and offered them privacy for their grief. She always finds the right words in challenging situations.
