She loves her job, her patients, and she makes the clinic operate at a high level. She is a leader in the clinic without a title. I could not be more grateful to have such a wonderful nurse as part of my team.
Annette makes a meaningful difference every single day to every patient she comes in contact with. When she was hired on at the clinic, there was no nurse to train her, and she dug in and learned everything she needed to know to best serve the patients who visit every day. She sees an average of 40 patients a day in the shot room. Shots are nobody's favorite thing, but she puts patients of all ages at ease. She remembers names, preferences, where they went on their last vacation, their pets, and any details that are important to the patient. Her memory is incredible what she can recall. There are so many patients who specifically look forward to seeing Annette, and she helps keep them at ease and reduces the amount of reactions we have in the clinic by doing so. Annette is the perfect nurse for this clinic and the patients that we serve. I have heard patients go to the physician of the clinic and remind him how lucky we are to have her. In clinic, we deal with anaphylactic reactions; it's just part of the job, but nurses can see these reactions coming before the patient feels them and take appropriate measures in order to reduce the severity of the reaction. She loves her job, her patients, and she makes the clinic operate at a high level. She is a leader in the clinic without a title. I could not be more grateful to have such a wonderful nurse as part of my team. I'm sure if you could ask the hundreds of patients she sees per week, they would echo the same sentiment.

Annette works in the CLINIC giving shots and doing allergy challenges with patients. She is always busy, rarely takes a sit-down lunch, and keeps the clinic running smoothly due to her efficient workflow. I have witnessed Annette calling patients back on several occasions to administer their scheduled allergy shots. She always greets them by name, asks them how they are doing, and then gives them a brief explanation of what their visit will look like. Once she has the patient seated in the chair, she always follows up with a question about what they shared with her on their last visit, whether it's a story about their children, grandchildren, or family. She remembers what kind of stickers the younger patients like and what they don't like, she remembers details about their lives and their loved ones, she treats them like family and wants to know how and what they are doing. She was recently asked by a long time patient if she could continue to give them their shot so they didn't have to switch to another nurse. She explained that her colleague was also really good at giving shots and that she could trust her to be just as good as she is. I loved the response from Annette; it displayed teamwork, trust, and confidence in those she has trained and works with. NURSE always backs up her team, which keeps patients at ease and feeling safe. Annette is a hard worker, honest, patient, and a quiet force for good. She never complains; she quietly goes about her job duties and gets the job done. If there were more Annettes in this world it would be a better place. It has been a pleasure to watch her in action and to get to know her. I would trust her with my own family, because I know she would treat them just like her own.

Every day, Annette goes above and beyond for the clinic and its patients. She makes every patient comfortable when they come in for their weekly injections and educates them thoroughly. She speaks so highly of her position in the clinic and the staff. She genuinely appreciates her job and role as a Registered Nurse. She truly is an example of what an RN believes and provides.
