Annie is one of the most patient and thorough nurses we have in SDS. Her years of experience and years of working night shifts is invaluable. She is especially good at problem solving after hours. I have watched her calling pharmacies to make sure things go smoothly for patients at night. She helps to bridge small gaps with Spanish-speaking patients in between phone calls with the language services. I have never had a patient say anything except positive things when Annie is the nurse.

Annie is very kind and compassionate. She is very thorough with her patients, often taking the time to explain things so that the patients can understand the instructions. She is also very flexible; she is willing to come in extra when needed. Patients also say how calming she is, often relieving patients’ stress when coming in for surgery.

Annie always brings so much positivity and energy to work with her. I’ve worked with Annie for 14 years in Same Day Surgery, and 1 in the ER. She is always willing to help, eager to learn, and is so skilled and knowledgeable. Her coworkers and our patients are so fortunate to have Annie working with them.

Annie was a rockstar nurse for me yesterday! She was kind, gentle, compassionate, and very thoughtful. She thought of everything from cookies, to safety pins, foot massage, to a listening ear and happy conversation. When I was embarrassed when I had to use the bathroom for the first time post-surgery, she was so caring and tender to my every need! I was able to keep my dignity, even on the toilet! I’m so glad she worked this shift and I am so grateful that I could be served by her.
