Anytime my boyfriend has been assigned to Ashley from the very first time, I always eagerly hope she’s with him the next day. Ashley has one of those personalities you feel like you’ve known her longer than that one shift. My boyfriend has been in a coma for 5 months and has had a number of absolutely amazing nurses who each care for him like he is a part of their family. Being in a situation like this, you look for people who are going to lift you up and make your situation a little bit better for even a fraction of your visit. Well, each and every time Ashley is in the room with my boyfriend, she lights up the room, treats him like he is awake, and there is nothing wrong. She treats us with the utmost kindness, and I truly could go on and on. She is one of those nurses who truly cares about her patients and their families. We have not been dealt the best cards since his admission with obstacles, and we are so blessed that if there is anything we can look forward to, it is that he has an amazing nurse. We meet each day with a smiling face and our person looking like he just left the spa. I’m just overly grateful.
