Ashley demonstrates excellence in teaching and mentoring not only demonstrating caring and compassion towards in the classroom but also outside of the classroom. She stops whatever she is doing to speak with students needing someone to talk to- but she doesn't stop there. She provides them with resources available to them through the university including free counseling. She not only teaches her students, but she mentors them, socializing them into our profession.

Ashley has not only taken the time to speak privately with students who needed someone to talk to, but she has also walked many a student over to the counseling center over the last year. Her willingness to not only stop and take the time to listen to the students but also to walk them over to where they can get professional counseling demonstrates her commitment not only to her job and student success but to the future of our profession. She truly cares about her students both inside and outside of the classroom setting and is a beautiful example of the perfect nurse educator- one that we should all strive to be like.

Students adore this educator. I adore my colleague. Our program is much brighter since she has joined the team. Her passion for mental health and the total well-being of our students is evident in her actions both inside and outside of the classroom setting. She takes the time always to make sure that our students are not merely surviving but also thriving across all settings; she supports her students across all settings including when she teaches clinical. I have heard many stories about a struggling student who sought guidance from this professor and who was given the time to share their experiences and then assisted with obtaining the resources that they needed from the university.

Ashley does not boast about the things that she does for her students so many likely do not even know that she has escorted a few students over to psychological services and counseling. I am recognizing her for the caring, kindness, and compassion that she has shown as it is a beautiful thing to witness in a colleague. Ashley inspires not only her students but also her colleagues with her passion for student success and the mental health of us all- both students and faculty/staff alike. She is an inspiration to all who know her. Her genuine caring shines through in every interaction with her. Her passion for nursing and for education should inspire us all as educators to be the best that we can be for our students as we socialize them into our incredible profession of nursing. She truly does all that she can to support her students and goes out of her way to do all that she can to promote and support their success. Thank you for all that you do for our students!
