She was a true lifeline as I immediately started feeling better, but if it had not been for her swift actions, I would not have probably gone to the Emergency room.
I recently went to my PCP, and Ashley was my nurse. While at my PCP, my blood pressure dropped significantly. Ashley immediately took swift action and personally took me to the emergency room where I received immediate IV fluids and was admitted. She was a true lifeline as I immediately started feeling better, but if it had not been for her swift actions, I would not have probably gone to the Emergency room.
Upon returning for further follow up Ashley again demonstrated concern, empathy, and awareness regarding my medication, which needed an adjustment. She explained what needed to be done regarding my medication and explained it to my daughter in a clear fashion, highlighting all necessary adjustments on my paperwork so she could fix my medications at home. She also demonstrated a sense of calming relief to my daughter, who was concerned about me. She also went out of her way to ease my daughter’s concern for my well-being and health. My daughter has PTSD, so she was also a lifeline to her that day as she was very concerned and calmed my daughter’s nerves, which made me feel more at ease as well. She also alerted us that my wife’s phone was not working appropriately when the ER tried contacting her that I was in the hospital ER.
Ashley has always at every appointment gone over and above her call of duty whenever I come in to see my PCP. Her actions exceed my expectations, and I always feel a sense of relief as she carefully explains things and exhibits an exemplary attitude. I could not think of anyone who deserves this award more. Ashley is a valuable asset to Brockton VA, and I sincerely hope she receives this prestigious award as she really deserves it. I have been going to the VA for a very long time, and Ashley has always been very comforting and personable. She also answers all my questions and is in my eyes a perfect nurse and true lifeline to both myself and my family members.
