Ashley's care was phenomenal. There was never a time where I felt like I was forgotten.
I lost my baby girl at 16 weeks pregnant. I chose to have an induction of labor because to me it felt the most natural way of giving her at least a dignified birth. As you can imagine there is absolutely nothing pleasant of losing a very wanted baby so suddenly and without warning. I went from Yawkey 4 right over to Labor and Delivery. Come shift change, Ashley took over and became our nurse for the night. Her care was phenomenal. There was never a time where I felt like I was forgotten, even though I'm sure she was assisting with other deliveries. She didn't rush me and would remind me that I could go as fast or as slow as I needed to with this process. She brought in this white noise machine, so we did not have to hear the cries of living babies while mourning the loss of our own. Coping with the loss of my daughter I have read stories of other parents going through a similar situation and they did not get even half of the amazing care I got with Ashley. The loss of my daughter still feels so fresh that I cry while even writing this, but it's nurses like Ashley who make the hardest of times a little more bearable.
