Ashley came on duty as our son's night nurse after he had a liver biopsy. He was in extreme pain. Ashley made us all feel like he was her one and only patient and continued to make us feel as if we were her family. She would sit down and explain things to our son and our family and quickly won the heart of our precious son. I (mom) was able to finally drop off to sleep because I knew he was in the best hands he could be. Ashley was sharp in communicating with his doctors and team to provide a comprehensive treatment plan quickly for our child. Being an NP and dad being in critical care (RT) ourselves, we have never seen a nurse with the personality, heart, desire, and love for her patients as we have seen the two nights Ashley cared for our son. To be honest, we are glad he is improving toward discharge, but we feel like we are leaving behind a friend Ashley who we would gladly adopt into our family!

Ashley has demonstrated that she cares about her clients as well as the client's family. She provides comfort to the families while still being able to attend others' needs. Ashley has a great attitude and a smile that makes others like myself feel welcome. She provides sufficient and understandable information such as what task she is completing on the patient and the reason for that task. Her kindness and attention to detail is an asset to PCH.

Ashley was an awesome nurse! She made me laugh even when my pain was so so bad. Ashley would sit with me and explain to me and my family what was going on so that we weren't scared. Ashley made the worst times seem good; always smiling and trying to make me laugh. Ashley is very smart and would talk to the doctors to try to find a way to help me. I loved Ashley as my nurse.
