Ashley, from the beginning, was extraordinary and in our opinion was over and above what her duties are supposed to be. For example, she arranged to have a cot brought to me so I could be next to my wife after her cancer surgery. She personally opened the cot, cleaned and disinfected it then made my bed with both top and bottom sheets and got me a pillow. Ashley was someone I consider to be one of the "go to people". Someone you could leave and know that they would do whatever it took to get the job done and make the patient happy.
We later found out that Ashley normally worked on another floor with cancer patients. I asked her how she could care for patients who were in such serious conditions. Her response was that she "loved it". I was so happy and sad at the same time knowing she loved caring for patients who might be living their last days. At such a young age, Ashley shows so much maturity, kindness, compassion, and the desire to do what many can't, which is care for the people who may be critically ill.

Ashley went beyond her duties. She was very informed, helpful, kind, and gave the best care I could ask for. From a nurse who puts her best foot forward, thank you for your care and concerns while I was in the hospital.
