I can’t say enough nice things about her, she made each day more than bearable, especially on days where I felt the worst.
Ashley has been absolutely wonderful every day I have had her! She always took every question and concern I had and responded with clarity, and if I couldn’t understand, she would find more ways to explain it. She continuously worked to educate me on how certain things worked and why others wouldn’t. She worked effortlessly with surgeons and doctors to find out about my scheduling for surgery, dietary restrictions, and medication limits when things began to contradict one another, and man, was it a nightmare!

I had one night that was really miserable where I couldn’t get any sleep, had very limited pain meds, and a nurse who I saw just a handful of times when called. The next morning, I told Ashley about it, and she worked immediately to fix the med situation and got me everything I needed for a restful morning. Each morning, she would pop in to say “Hi” or “Good Morning!” And every night, she would check in before leaving for the night. Even when she picked up an extra shift, she popped in to check on me, which was a huge surprise! The days I didn’t have her seemed to drag on, and things were constantly late or forgotten.

I can’t say enough nice things about her, she made each day more than bearable, especially on days where I felt the worst. She would take walks with me so I could get out of the room when I needed help and make sure people knew it was okay. I did that without her by the end. She met my family numerous times and even helped explain to my 4-year-old how they were making me better. She did a better job at it than I did! The day before surgery I got upgraded to full diet until midnight. The kitchen food wasn’t very suitable for me, so when she went out of her way to ask if I was able to have lunch, I told her so. She told me how she had food available that was much more appetizing to me and even easier going on my stomach. She brought me a plate of toast, applesauce, and graham crackers. She continues to go above and beyond time after time!!

I had pancreatitis and then developed back pain from the bed, and she was very understanding about all my complaints for everything. She is without a doubt, the best nurse there and the best nurse I have ever had and I feel like the luckiest patient to have had her taking care of me. Thank you so much Ashley!

Ashley continued to be an Angel after everything I said in that last award submission. On my day of surgery, she came in EARLY to make sure I got my meds on time, and they wouldn’t be too late before surgery. She has still worked hard to get a case manager for me so I can fill out disability insurance paperwork. After my surgery, she was checking in to see how I was doing, which was the sweetest thing to hear. I was begging OR to make it back before her shift ended so I could thank her again before she left, as I wouldn’t see her the following day. She has been without a doubt my guardian Angel during my stay here, and any patient in the future will be lucky to have her!! Thank you so much, Ashley, you’re the greatest!!!
