Ashley F Brown exceeds the standards for what a DAISY Honoree should exemplify. She has supported me, both as an employee and as a patient, through a critical time in my health. She acts with compassion and dedication to her employees and all her patients who come under her care in her department 24/7. She goes above and beyond for anyone in their time of need and puts others before herself without hesitation. Ashley exceeds the definition of compassion for both her patients and her employees. I am eternally grateful for all she has done for me and what she will do for me. She gave me a gift that I couldn’t personally acquire during this hard time as a patient “dealing” with the unknown, and that is called “peace” amidst my chaos and hardship. I wanted to thank her from the bottom of my heart for advocating for me during this rough time. There aren’t enough lines nor words on a page to describe my appreciation for Ashley. No matter the outcome with my diagnosis of my current health status, I will always be grateful for the care I received from Ashley. She has left an imprint on my heart and has set an expectation for myself as a patient moving forward to how a nurse should treat their patients: with the utmost respect, dignity, and care. Ashley fights for me, especially during the hard times when I have no energy left to fight for myself.
