Ashley listened to my cousin’s concerns while in the ER. My cousin had been experiencing heavy vaginal bleeding and felt like her concerns weren’t being met. When Ashley came with the discharge papers, my cousin expressed visual and verbal concern that her health concern was not being met, as she was drastically bleeding. Ashley took the time to listen and went to ask the doctor if discharge was appropriate. 

The doctor came in and spoke with my cousin and quickly realized the situation was worse than the hospital initially understood. She was able to get an ultrasound and meet with a gynecologist who confirmed a mass that may be cancerous. Because of Ashley, my cousin remained in care and got her services expedited. Ashley also showed tremendous empathy, providing clean linens and kind words every time we saw her.
