Ashley is great! We had a patient present to Labor & Delivery by ambulance that required an emergency C-Section due to a 33-week breech presentation with a fetal foot visible on arrival. Our only OB tech on the floor was already in a case in our other OR.

Ashley responded to our needs with a good attitude. She knowingly entered this chaotic situation professionally doing what needed to be done to assist the doctors. Because of her willingness to help, we were able to safely deliver this premature infant. I was also told that she stayed later than her scheduled shift to help our unit. Not only was this an emergent case, but after the baby was delivered, the mother threw what the doctors believe to be a possible amniotic fluid embolism.

I'm not sure if Ashley even understands the impact of her coming to our unit and doing what she did. The Labor & Delivery unit, doctors, patient and the patient's family really appreciate what she did!
