This nurse continually goes above and beyond in caring for Choice One for her patients. We recently had a patient coming to the Choice Two clinic daily for palliative treatments, and she was a steady leader and compassionate caregiver for him and his family throughout. When the patient mentioned he'd love to have a picture of all the nurses who took care of him, she organized a time and location (nurses who no longer work in the clinic and who had the day off showed up), she had the picture, printed, framed and hand-delivered it to the family after work hours. She remained professional yet provided the family with continued support and care. The family displayed the picture at his funeral, and it was clear that this meant a lot to the family at the moment and will be something treasured as part of his story. While this patient stands out to me, she is continually organizing cards, treats, and gifts for patients to mark special days and milestones. Her connection and care for our patients and families is heartfelt and sincere. Her skills, knowledge, and leadership in the clinic are truly award-winning.
