Barbara has helped thousands of people as they welcome their babies into the world, but she was recognized for the care and compassion she gives to those parents who go through the unthinkable, the loss of their baby. Barbara sits with these families and listens quietly as they describe what the nursery looked like, what hopes and dreams they had for their child. She will love and grieve with them. Barbara will then take each thing she has learned about the family and create a special memory book that includes poems, photos and specials dreams the family had. These books are given to the family so they have something to remember their child by. She puts care and compassion into each and every one of the tiny lives.
