Beatrice (Bea) goes above and beyond for her staff peers. She brings light and joy into coming to work. Bea always provides assistance to all PACT RNs and provides educational support and guidance. Bea advocates not only for her staffing peers but also for veterans. I have witnessed the way Bea provides care and support for veterans. Not only does she make sure all the questions and concerns are met, but she goes above and beyond for all her veterans and other veterans who need assistance. Bea goes out of her way to ensure that care is being handled at her level and will honor the veteran. She will go out her way to reach out to multiple departments to ensure the veteran is taken care of that same day. Bea has advocated for her patients many times to get faster and extraordinary care. Bea is also very informative in providing care and collaborating with her provider to ensure that they are receiving the care that ALL veterans deserve. Bea has also assisted me and others with veterans’ care that is not assigned to her team. Bea does not only make a difference with veterans but also her nursing staff. She is truly an AMAZING nurse and expressed all the components of a DAISY Nurse: compassion, professionalism, patient centered, teamwork, extraordinary acts, positive impact, and most importantly a role model.
