Beena really is a special person, an asset to the Trust, patients, and relatives who are lucky to receive her care. She shows great empathy and is ideally suited to her profession.
From the moment Beena arrived for the night shift I knew we were going to be well looked after. Beena immediately took charge, and her care and compassion for keeping Mum comfortable and pain-free were exemplary. Beena even went to the trouble of making hand warmers; Mum never liked being cold. This was a great comfort to Mum and the family. Beena also checked on how we were coping too.
After spending the evening with Mum, we decided to go home. Beena reassured us she would take good care of Mum and call us if Mum's condition changed.
Beena phoned early the next morning to advise that Mum's health was failing, and we decided to come to the hospital. Again, Beena met us with kindness and compassion and explained how Mum was. She even made us a welcome cup of tea! When Mum passed away a few hours later, Beena was hugely caring, attentive, and sympathetic. She seemed to have grown fond of Mum. Beena really is a special person, an asset to the Trust, patients, and relatives who are lucky to receive her care. She shows great empathy and is ideally suited to her profession. We feel very fortunate to have had her looking after Mum and our family at such a very emotional and distressing time.
Sending Beena our grateful, heartfelt thanks.
