My husband was a patient at Beacon Health System, specifically Elkhart General Hospital, for 2 weeks (his second week period in a month). He had undergone a very traumatic surgery involving his colon and small intestine. He woke up with an unexpected and unwanted colostomy bag. Due to surgery he had to have it. Beth came in the room, saw him and me and told him she had one temporarily once and said to let her know if we had any questions and boy did we!

First of all, it was so nice of her to share that because it helped him not feel so alone. Then she took time to answer all of our questions and provide very helpful suggestions. I can't even say enough about how her compassion and caring helped us in such a difficult circumstance. She even stopped before we were released to say goodbye. Thank you Beth, you are AWESOME!
