I nominate Bill Barnes for the DAISY Award. He is a wonderful nurse in so many different ways. He not only takes excellent care of his patients, but he realizes that the family is going through trying times and tries to include and take care of them as well. I am witnessing this first hand because Bill has taken care of my father-in-law a couple of times lately. I have a great deal of respect for Bill as a nurse because he is all of what a nurse should be and more. He is very professional and respectful. He is kind and caring. And he takes time to listen and be there for his patients. He goes the extra mile in his care by being a teacher so that the patients and their family’s understand what is happening to their loved one. I hope you will consider him for this wonderful award because in my mind Bill is what the DAISY Award was designed for.
