Bill is a strong team member and is always willing to jump in and help wherever he is needed. He is the RN that we flock to when we have a difficult IV insertion and patients are always grateful for his expertise in this area.
Bill wakes up all his patients after surgery with a friendly face and the perfect (bad) joke for each individual. He has perfected the art of calming patients with humor and distraction. In addition to lifting the mood of his patients, he does the same for his fellow staff members in our department.
My favorite memory of Bill was watching him cradle a restless and confused four-year-old patient in his arms as she emerged from anesthesia while waiting for her parents to arrive. His gentle demeanor and dedication to nursing are obvious to all those around him. Evergreen is so lucky to have him as a member of our team!
