Being a young, healthy mom, I never thought I'd be admitted to the CCU fighting for my life at age 34. I was diagnosed and admitted with multifocal pneumonia and sepsis. Miss Bonnie was my day nurse for two days and wow! She holds the bar high for any nurse coming in after her shift. Her compassion, personability, gentleness, and soft yet demanding demeanor sets her aside from all nurses. The only time we've received care like that was in the Children's Hospital NICU after our son was born. Those nurses go above and beyond, just as Bonnie did for me. Not only did she assure top care, she made that extra effort to go the extra mile and get to know me. I wasn't just another patient to her. She is the type of nurse I pray everyone would get to experience should they ever be hospitalized. She represents the nursing field and Aspirus Riverview with pride, excellence, and passion. Bonnie left an impact with not only me but my entire family!
