I’ll be forever grateful for her intuition plus her care, her cheerful positive attitude, and how she has cared for him.
From Wife: Braelee has been my husband’s nurse in the critical care unit for 2 days. She has a knack and the patience for interpreting my husband’s gestures - he is on a ventilator – quickly and long before frustration has a chance to set in. I’ll be forever grateful for her intuition plus her care, her cheerful positive attitude, and how she has cared for him. St. Luke’s is fortunate to have Braelee on their staff and we were fortunate to have her care for my husband for the past 2 days.
From Mother-in-Law: My son-in-law was in a horrific car accident that left him quadriplegic. He has been a brave, incredible man. On the 16yr anniversary, he came into St. Luke’s ICU with horrible septic shock. He was very sick and quickly decompensated. It was decided to transition to comfort care and he sadly passed away. Throughout this ordeal, his nurse Braelee was absolutely amazing. She took the time to help us understand everything that was happening. She was kind and compassionate. She made sure he was kept comfortable throughout the dying process and that his family could be at his bedside. There were a lot of us, but she never minded.
