Bre has the intangibles. She taught my mom about medicines, made her smile, and made her feel more at ease about being in the hospital. She treated her with respect and dignity and like a human being (not just a patient).
We first met Bre when my husband was brought to PCU after a harrowing drive to the hospital. We discovered his esophageal discomfort was, in fact, a heart attack. After a cath and stent, we made Bre’s acquaintance. Most notably, my anxiety unfolds as questions. I asked at least a dozen questions, and Bre was patient, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She was thorough in her work, took the lead with her colleagues, used her teaching skills, and continued to answer questions!
Your hospital is so lucky to have Bre on staff and her patients benefit hugely from her skills, patient, and empathy.

Bre was outstanding, high-energy level, professional, caring, compassionate, a great listener and fast but never rushed.
Bre went at of her way, many extra miles to not only make my mom feel better, but me and wife as well.

Bre took the time to go over why the shot for a blood clot (Heparin), why the medication to help produce more urine, went over the O2 levels, and what the number meant.
Bre is a leader. Bre is what a nurse should be.
Bre is a credit to Sentara RMH and most definitely deserves this recognition.

As I told the JMU student/intern today when he stopped in for a survey, my 3 RNs, one being Breanna, were unfailingly attentive, helpful, and professional. They always announced the reason for their appearances in the room, explained how their work fit into my post-surgical program, asked whether I had questions, and inquired whether they could do anything for me. In short, their communication was superb and was greatly appreciated, especially because my cardiac condition is new and unfamiliar.
