Brenda Davis embodies the traits of professionalism, compassion, and excellence every day that she is working at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Her compassion has always been to advocate the needs of the General Surgery patient. She has been recognized by her fellow nurses as a resource for clinical questions and has been a part of orienting new nurses with regard to General Surgery.

Recently, she demonstrated her compassion for her patients when she took the time to provide comfort and reassurance to a General Surgery patient. The patient was a 15 year old girl who was very anxious and tearful while awaiting surgery. Brenda held the patient's hand while calmly talking to her and listening to her concerns. The patient went on with the procedure that was uneventful and had a wonderful outcome. The patient and her family noted the care and compassion demonstrated by Brenda and asked nursing leadership to recognize her for the excellent patient care.

There are so many more instances where Brenda has gone above and beyond what is required in her profession not only with her patients but with her co-workers.
