Brette displayed patient and family-centered care principles by collaboration. She did this right from the start by telling me we were a team to accomplish the goal of keeping me comfortable and to help me get well. She listened to my thoughts and cared about my feelings as a patient, she took those thoughts and opinions and used them to discussed how to make my stay as comfortable as possible. She was also a very good liaison between the patient and the doctor.
She treated me with the utmost dignity and respect simply by listening and treating me as an equal.
Brette was the person entrusted to oversee the medical plan the doctors had set for me through the stewardship principles of work, caring, compassion and understating. Justice was shown by her respect for her patients and co-workers. I personally watched her take on more tasks by helping her partners. If it got busy she would always step in and to help.
Brette exceeded my expectations as a patient.
