Upon receiving the word that hospice was imminent, my mother asked for one person and that person was Briana.
I write this with a heavy heart because my mother was a patient with your team when she passed away at Advent Hospice. I want to recognize your entire staff for being incredible, compassionate, caring, and thoughtful. The care we received as a family was amazing. Your staff went above and beyond their call to make sure my mother was comfortable in what would be her final days with us.
I would like to call our one nurse on your staff that touched my mother's heart more than I have ever seen, and my whole family owes a huge debt of gratitude to. Although it is hard to call one person out with the incredible staff you have, Briana was amazing. She always took the time to explain things to my mother with the clarity and compassion that it takes when you have a patient with as many things going on as my mother.
Briana went above and beyond for my whole family by making sure we had all our questions answered, she was there when we needed her, and she gave us the time to be with our mother just that little bit longer. Upon receiving the word that hospice was imminent, my mother asked for one person and that was Briana. My mother wanted to say goodbye to her and thank her for such an amazing day they spent together. Within minutes, Briana walked through the door and greeted my mother with the most compassion and love I have ever seen from a nurse. My mother acknowledged that she was indeed a mess, and it took a strong-willed person to deal with her and that was Briana. With tears flowing from all, Briana once again touched my mother's heart even when she wasn't her nurse for the day. No doubt we will see Briana winning a DAISY Award someday soon, I pray! Thank you so much and with much love!
