My mom is not your average 87-year-old woman. Until September, she was in active health and an independent woman. Then, to our shock, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Treatment began immediately and instantly she was a fighter, handling everything that came her way. She was getting dressed one morning in preparation for blood work when she suffered a stroke. I found her on the bathroom floor. This led her to Mercy ICU.
The entire medical team at Mercy was excellent and we thank you. However, Brianna Gallagher touched the family's hearts. She not only cared for my mom but our family. She recognized our anxiety and reassured us by explaining the ICU procedures as well as what we could expect. She relayed this information to us in person, creating trust and a bond. Mom is now at another location in the rehab unit. Our family continues to support her, and we often think of Brianna and her encouraging words of hope. Thank you, Brianna.

I just want to let you know what a fantastic nurse you have in the ICU by the name of Brianna. My husband was in the ICU after surgery. I was greeted by Brianna who was so sweet but above all, very attentive to my husband and on top of everything especially his meds when they were supposed to be given. She has a wonderful personality and kept my husband's humor up somewhat through his pain.
During her shift, she was also teaching another new nurse. Brianna was very patient and kind when showing her what to do. I thought she was a great mentor to her. I feel when people do a great job, they need to be recognized and I hope you let Brianna know how sweet she is and what a great job she does. Please pass it on to her. I missed her bubbly personality when my husband was transferred. Thank you for your staff!
