When we arrived in the NICU we were very scared because we didn't know what was wrong with our baby other than she was having trouble breathing and wouldn't eat. Britney was our nurse and she went above and beyond. She did oral cares for our baby and this was really awesome because our baby could not have anything by mouth. She also stayed with us when we were unsure of what was happening. She explained things on a level that we understood. Not only did she care for our baby but she made sure that we as parents were well taken care of. She also was not afraid to be hands-on in breastfeeding troubles. She told me things to try to help me, and she also showed me exactly what to do. There was a time she had to leave the floor and help with a C-section. She still made sure that we were taken care of. We had another nurse for that time and she came in exactly when it was time to feed. Overall, I was so impressed with how she cared for us in this scary time.
