Smart, energetic, kind, compassionate, very caring, positive! These words only begin my feelings for this nurse. Brooke is most exceptional. I have been a nurse for 50 years so have worked with and seen many nurses in all settings. It takes a lot to impress me, and I know hospital work is hard, but this nurse has without a doubt done it. She has the ability to make each patient and family feel very important to her. She immediately does all she can to be sure you feel as comfortable as possible. She cares for her patients with empathy and compassion while being very professional and knowledgeable. She has the ability to anticipate many needs before they become an issue. If issues should arise, she is immediately able to find the solution favorable to all. I have seen her often, even though busy, make herself available to assist her coworkers.

My sister who is critically ill has the great fortune to be her patient. She goes out of her way to use as many comfort measures as she has available to help her. She is as well a wonderful comfort to me as the only relative. She helped our friends to come in to say goodbye. I can see nursing is truly her calling and not just a job. She is a great role model.
