Brooke was made to be a nurse. She is comforting and compassionate. She goes above and beyond, providing care above and beyond what a typical nurse’s duties are. I have had some horrible nights dealing with pain and mental breakdowns. She went out of her way to come in and comfort me and distract me from the pain while we waited for the following pain medication. She successfully brought me back to regular breathing and lowered my heart rate. I felt that I could trust and depend on her. I felt she truly cared and had sincere empathy and compassion. She was always on time for all my medication doses and would check on me without having to. She went out of her way to send messages of my questions and concerns to the doctor, getting every staff member involved during my stay at the hospital- communication is key! This nurse embodies the title of an extraordinary nurse. She has won this title and should be recognized and receive the DAISY award.
