During my time at the hospital, I witnessed Caitlin's care and hospitality first hand. Caitlin always brought a peaceful presence to families that were awaiting surgery. She continually showed intentional care as she comforted and made conversation to those going back to the operating room.
Once in the operating room, Caitlin would calmly let the patient know what was happening next so as to not frighten them and tried to keep them as comfortable as possible until they were under sedation. Even under sedation, I saw Caitlin speak to the conscious patient who tried moving around in order to calm them. I witnessed Caitlin's integrity as she carefully presented the "Time Out" in the operating room and ensured that all of those involved in the operation were completely aware of the case.
I witnessed all of the extraordinary qualities that I could hope for a nurse to acquire thriving in Caitlin. It is my belief that she brings an incredible set of clinical skills and an incredible bedside manner that elevates the quality of care that individuals receive at this hospital.
