Candace Beltz is an exceptional, kind and compassionate nurse. Candace was assigned to see a patient that she had not seen before. When she came to the home. The patient was there with her daughter who is her caregiver. The daughter got up to answer the door and she then passed out in Candace's arms. She was concerned about the daughter, took her vitals, asked her questions, was concerned that the daughter may have had an adverse event, but the daughter did not want 911 to be contacted. Candace insisted that she would call 911, she did and the daughter went to the ER. The patient could not be left alone so Candace stayed with the patient, called several family members until she could locate someone to come to stay with the patient. She stayed with the patient for two hours until someone arrived. The patient's daughter, who has since recovered, states that "Candace saved my life, and we were lucky she was there that day to help our family."
