When I was finally allowed to get up go to bathroom on my own, she helped me get up and walked me to and from the bathroom.
I had to have three stints put in, and I was alone, nervous, and scared to death. There had been complications in the Cath Lab getting the incision to stop bleeding, which was in my groin area. When I was taken to my room for an overnight stay and transferred to my bed, the incision opened up. He was my nurse and, along with two employees from the recovery room, leaped into action. They kept pressure on it and called for a Cath lab employee and a doctor from the Cath lab. I was so scared that I was bleeding out. He and the Cath lab employee assured me I wasn't going to bleed out and they would get it to stop. Besides the normal incision, I had a large skin tear from tape that had to be used during the original procedure. I was in a lot of pain. He was so awesome!!! He did everything he could to make me feel comfortable and well taken care of. He had to keep checking the site to ensure the incision didn't start bleeding. I was so embarrassed, but never once did make me feel that way. I was very blessed to have him be my nurse Friday and Saturday. Jason went over the day's events with Candice, and she took over. When I was finally allowed to get up go to bathroom on my own, she helped me get up and walked me to and from the bathroom. While I was using the bathroom, this nurse changed my bed and gave me some warm blankets because I was freezing due to the blood thinners. I have never felt that level of care and compassion that I received from them on that night, it was definitely the best!!! I could never thank the both of you enough.
